A collection of the journals, fiction, letters, and sketches of the late Esther Grace Earl, who passed away in 2010 at the age of 16. Photographs and essays by family and friends will help to tell Esther’s story along with an introduction by award-winning author John Green who dedicated his #1 bestselling novel The Fault in Our Stars to her.

MY THOUGHTS:
This review is going to be short and sweet because the book has simply left me speechless. It is beautiful, poignant and inspiring and little words can explain its beauty.

Esther Earl - a brave and inspiring young woman with wisdom beyond her years. Thank you for gracing us with you presence.

This Star Won't go Out is a collection of pictures, diary entries, letters notes and just thoughts of Esther Earl and her family during their struggle to battle the always evil cancer. Introduced by the hugely successful John Green, in where he explains how this magnificent girl inspired him like many others, this book is a heart - warmer and treasure. Definitely one for your bookshelves.

The only way to portray the elegance of this collection, is to grace you with the words of Esther Earl:

“Just be happy, and if you can't be happy, do things that make you happy. Or do nothing with the people that make you happy.”

“Isn’t it sad that so often it takes facing death to appreciate life and each other fully?”

“Death is not the final word but the “next great adventure”

“To Feel

The weight of death, the weight of fear,
the burden of stress, pain is here.
Never to know, never to guess.
Never to know, how much the mess
Do not show care,
do not feel joy,
do not have love,
life's not a toy
and yet we feel,
we have,
we show,
who knows...
I do not know.
I do not know."
